Concert Series On The Green Kicks Off Tonight

Amherst Recreation has some great entertainment for the kids, followed by a band performance.

Join Amherst Recreation for their first Concert on the Green of the summer tonight.

It all starts on the Amherst Town Common at 5:30 p.m. tonight, with a Teddy Bear Picnic Concert from childrens' musician Rick Goldin.

Goldin’s performances feature singing with guitar accompaniment, puppets, movement activities, child-participation, and lots of silliness and fun for the whole family.

Children are encouragse to invite their teddy bears (or any stuff animal) so that they can enjoy the concert with them.

The Amherst Town Band will begin at 7 p.m.

June 26 - Beatle Tracks (6:30pm)

Beatle Tracks is a Beatles tribute group based in Massachusetts. Beatle Tracks is known for its quality musicianship and renditions true to the original artists. We have the original Beatles to thank for sharing their genius and talent with the world. It is their passion that drives Beatle Tracks to keep their music alive.

July 10 - Mink Hills Band (6:30pm)

The Mink Hills Band is a New Hampshire based acoustic band whose selection of music includes Bluegrass, Swing, Folk, and Original compositions. The stylistic range of material provides for an interesting and varied musical experience.

July 17 – Amherst Town Band (7pm)

This outstanding community band performs public concerts consisting of a wide range of instrumental compositions, such as classical, show tunes, big band, marches, polkas, contemporary and novelties music.

August 21 - WZID Block Party (5pm at Spalding Field)
