Cruz to Speak at NH IOP

U.S. Senator from Texas will enjoy "politics and eggs" Saint Anselm College on March 16.

Another week, another potential New Hampshire first-in-the-nation 2016 primary candidate comes to the state.

At 8 a.m. on Monday, March 16, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX, will be the featured guest at the next edition of the celebrated “Politics and Eggs” lecture series at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College, co-sponsored by The New England Council, according to a press statement.

Before being elected to the Senate in 2012, Cruz was Solicitor General of Texas. Prior to that he served as the Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, as Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, and as Domestic Policy Advisor on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign. He was also Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law.

Cruz graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. As a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist on the U.S. Supreme Court he was the first Hispanic ever to clerk for the Chief Justice of the U.S.

Cruz and his wife Heidi live in Houston with their two young daughters, Caroline and Catherine.
