Department Reviews at Tonight's Meeting

This evening's Board of Selectmen meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. in the upper-level of the Amherst Town Hall.

The Board of Selectmen will be forming the FY12 town budget and reviewing town departments at tonight's meeting.

The departments scheduled to be reviewed tonight are EMS, Police, Public Safety Communications, Fire Emergency Management, Highway and General Government. The selectmen will also be working on goals for the FY12 budget.

A grant from NH Sustainable Communities Regional Planning will be discussed, as well as the anti-littering campaign that will have signs displaying the possible fee increase for littering in town.

An OHRV ordinance has been discussed in previous meetings, which would allow police to better enforce violations made by vehicles on town trails. This issue will be addressed again at tonight's meeting.

Other topics to be discussed tonight include Mack Hill Road, Nashua Regional Planning Commission and the Regional Energy Purchase Project.
