Back-to-School Night

The evening will give you the opportunity to visit the school and meet all of our child’s teachers.  We will run a modified version of the daily schedule so that you will gain an understanding of your son’s or daughter’s program.  You will receive a mailing early next week that will include a letter from your child’s advisor, a copy of their schedule, as well as a schedule for the evening.

The evening begins at 6:30 PM with refreshments provided by the PTSA and a chance to socialize with staff members and other parents in the cafeteria.  At 6:55 PM, there will be an announcement that will send you to your first period class.  Each class period will be approximately ten minutes long, though with the ninth and tenth grade teams a longer period will be available to meet with the entire team of teachers.  You will get an overview of the course content, expectations for homework and the classroom, and samples of materials and textbooks.  You may have time for a few brief, general questions. 

The evening is not intended, nor is there time available for individual conferences.  Parent conferences are scheduled for Thursday evening, October 27, and all day Friday, October 28.  Parents will again use the online system to sign up for conferences.  Instructions will be available soon in a separate parent email.
