Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of Lyme disease and
learn ways to protect yourself and your family.
Two very knowledgeable speakers, David Hunter and Sherry Juris,
will be presenting.
Lyme disease is transmitted by the bite of an infected
black-legged (deer) tick. Currently in our area, over 50% of these ticks are
infected with the bacteria that cause Lyme disease. New Hampshire has the
2nd highest rate of Lyme disease in the United States, with children
between the
ages of 5 and 14 being most at risk.
This disease is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Because
treatment is most effective in the early stages of the disease, learning to
recognize signs and symptoms is vitally important. Additionally, there are
things you can do to minimize your risk of contracting Lyme disease.
This is free and open to the public!
