Granite State Flash Jump Start Cross Country Training

Who: This program is for youth runners looking to enter the main Flash Junior Olympics cross country season strong and confident, or for new runners that are thinking about participating in Flash Junior Olympics in the fall. The program is available for any child 6 and above that is not in a full-time school XC program, or as your school coach allows. Parents are encouraged to attend and run or walk along with the group. What: Flash coaches will lead 2-3 group workouts per week focused on prepare new or existing runners for more advanced workouts and/or competition in the USATF Junior Olympics season beginning in late October. There will be workouts provided for additional training between coached sessions. Focus of the program is having FUN while increasing cardio fitness and base running strength. Additional topics to include Warm-Up/Cool Down techniques, Core Strengthening, Nutrition and Hydration, and Teamwork When: Practice is from 4-5pm and runs Tue 9/4 through 10/18.
