"The New GPS for Parents: Brain Research Provides Direction Through the Complex Streets of Parenting"

Internationally known psychologist & educator, Dr. JoAnn Deak, this year's Derryfield School E. Charles Sanborn Visiting Fellow, will give a talk at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 8th, 2011.  Dr. Deak's talk will focus on the latest brain research in children and the implications for parenting.  This event, free and open to the public, promises to be educational, inspiring and entertaining.

 

Dr. Deak is the author of two books, including Your Fantastic Elastic Brain and How Girls Thrive, and has spent more than thirty years helping children develop into confident and competent adults. She is the recepient of numerous awards and recognition from all over the globe. According to Dr. Deak, "Every interaction a child has, during the course of a day, influences the adult that child will become."  Please join us for this exciting opportunity!
