Woman's Association Holiday Fair
Holiday Fair at Amherst Congregational Church on Sat., Nov. 22 offers new & traditional gifts, baked goods & much more. 9 am- 2pm
The Woman’s Association of the Congregational Church of Amherst, UCC, will hold its annual Holiday Fair on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9 am to 2 pm. This year, Amherst artist Mary Salmon has depicted the 1774 historic meetinghouse, now the Congregational Church, on the 16” cover of a wooden Cabot cheese box. This heirloom painting will be auctioned at the Silent Auction that closes at 1 pm on Nov. 22.
Also new this year are hand-crafted birch house ornaments. Individually decorated fresh Maine balsam wreaths and pewter ornaments are always popular. Fair favorites include Cabot cheese, premium pecans, RADA kitchen knives, custom American Girl doll clothes, treasures including antique glass, vintage jewelry and old and new collectibles. Delicious homemade baked goods are perfect for Thanksgiving tables and gifts. Themed gift baskets are among the many items at the raffle table.
Tickets for the Christmas in Amherst Village House Tour on December 13 will be available at the Fair; plan ahead and purchase your tickets ($30 in advance, $40 day of tour).
