Explore the 'History of NH on Skis,' Dec. 8, 7:30, Cong. Church of Amherst

John Allen, from Plymouth State University, will take us back in time and explain how skiing became widely popular in NH.

Please join the Historical Society of Amherst as we kickoff the winter season with a fascinating program entitled “New Hampshire on Skis.” Professor Emeritus, John Allen, from Plymouth State University will take us back in time in NH and explain how skiing became the widely popular sport many enjoy today. Professor Allen is also the Vice President of the New England Ski Museum and author of several books, including ‘From Skisport to Skiing: One Hundred Years of an American Sport.’ This fascinating program will take place on December 8th at 7:30pm in the Vestry of the Congregational Church of Amherst and is provided through a generous grant from the NH Humanities Council. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
