The Amherst Farmers' Market is off to a great start this year under new leadership.

had her table set up during a beatiful sunny day at the market's kickoff on Thursday. Other local vendors this week include Trombly Gardens, Good Load Artisan Bakery and T.J.'s Tea.

Bertrand said that this first week has been great, with interested customers and families exploring the local selection, and there is even more in store for the coming weeks.

Sandy Lafleur and Bill Perry played a relaxing set of music throughout the day, and next week will be the market's first workshop session.

Benedikt Dairy from Bedford will host the workshop on raw milk products, according to Bertrand.

The Amherst Farmers's Market will be back next week at the Amherst Village Green/Common from 3-6 p.m.
