Final Town and School Candidates List

Local residents have put their hat in the ring for officer positions in both the town and school district this year.

The race for the two open selectman seats heated up last week after Charles S. Sherman, former sports director and television personality on WMUR, on Friday.

He is running against incumbents Bruce Bowler and Brad Galinson.

Edward L. Obermiller is the latest contender in the race for the two library trustee positions, which current has four candidates running. 

The cemetery trustee position is now contested after the filing from candidate Kevin J. Grassett.

Souhegan also has a contested race for the two open board seats with Peter Maresco entering the fray. Maresco currently sits on the Amherst School Board.

All of the candidates that have filed for the Amherst and Souhegan school boards are newcomers

No candidates filed for the school district clerk position in Mont Vernon.

Election day will take place on Tuesday, March 13 at Souhegan Cooperative High School from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
