The National Weather Service: Hail the size of quarters is falling in parts of the state; scattered power outages reported; more to come.

A severe thunderstorm warning and also a flood advisory have been issued for Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties, according to the National Weather Service.

At around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 25, the first part of the storm moved through much of New Hampshire dropping hail the size of quarters and producing winds of up to 60 mph in Goffstown, parts of Concord, as well as Bow, Weare, Hooksett, and other communities.

“Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm,” the NWS warned, “and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.”
