The Friends of the Amherst Town Library are thrilled to present the exhibit “Celebratingthe Book & All its Lives” featuring many New Hampshire Illustrators and Author/Illustrators through the month of March on the main floor of the Amherst Town Library. We are excited to have Illustrators such as Maryann Cocca-Leffler, Marty Kelley, Beth Krommes, JoAnn Kitchel, David McPhail, Marek Bennett, Jill Weber, Cynthia Copeland, Denise Ortakales, as well as a few others showing illustrations of some of their popular books as well as sneak peeks into a few new books. The exhibit will run from March 2 to March 28 with a reception to meet many of the illustrators with a book signing on March 9 from 2 to 4pm at the Library. Many of the illustrations are from children books. The book signing and Illustrators reception will be a great family adventure into the art and books. The Library will be truly “Celebrating” our love for books in March. In addition to many talented New Hampshire Illustrators exhibiting their art, there will be a wonderful amount of Adult Programing all about Books. Check out www.amherstlibrary.org for more information on programs featuring “Comics in World History and Cultures” to a book making workshop, to “Feasting From Literature”, among other great programs. The Amherst Garden Club will also be displaying floral arrangements on the Main Floor that have been inspired from a book they have read. The floral arrangements will be display in the first part of March as to be part of the Artist Reception on March 9.
