Got Power? Express Your Feelings Through Poetry

The written word shall sooth your soul and bring light to your life...or it can just help you vent.

The Snowtober storm has brought a lot of frustration as people comb their local businesses for power, Wifi and relief.

Some have power, but many are still in the dark.

To help you get all that negative energy out, Amherst Patch wants to introduce the inaugural volume of Outage Outrage Poems.

by Dan Tuohy
Feeling powerless?
Don't flip your lid
When you're off the grid.
No use crying over spoiled milk.

Ode to #Snowtober
by Anonymous
Hello darkness my old friend,
How is it I'm powerless again?
Now I smell like an OWS protester.

by Carol Robidoux
I think that I shall never see
a lightbulb lit with energy
again.

by Robert Michaelson

but that just isn't so
Living without electricity
or internet
Can make on feel so
Alone
But the worst of it
Is that I am losing charge
On my
iPhone
