Hazardous Weather Alert Issued for NH
Gusty, dangerous wind, snow expected to hit tonight and run through Monday; prepare for power outages, damaged trees, difficult driving.

The warnings about snow coming back to the Granite State appear to be coming to fruition: The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook warning for central and southern New Hampshire at just before 4 p.m. on April 2, 2016.
As part of the alert, a wind advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 3. Winds are expected to run northwest from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Expect downed trees and limbs along with scattered power outages, according to the alert.
“A wind advisory means that sustained winds of up to 35 mph or wind gusts of up to 57 mph are expected,” according to the National Weather Service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”

Light snow is expected to start at just before midnight and run through Monday morning. Accumulations are expected to be up to four inches in parts of New Hampshire, and will come in waves of squalls, which is why a weather warning has been issued. Visibility, according to AccuWeather.com, could be reduced to zero within seconds, which might lead to crashes on Interstates.
