Holden for County Commissioner

I am a candidate for re-election to the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners. Each County is governed by a three member Board of Commissioners which is responsible for the overall supervision of county departments.

I represent 23 of the 29 towns in Hillsborough County including Amherst and Mont Vernon. The Board exercises budgetary oversight over all expenditures. Other Board responsibilities include the management of county buildings and land.

As part of the vision for increasing revenues and utilizing the assets of Hillsborough County, the Board will be sending out a Request for Proposals to hire a professional to help the Board develop plans to utilize the land and buildings to increase revenue and decrease the amount of revenue raised by taxes.

Over the past years, I have brought a common sense approach to the issues and votes that I cast as a state representative and a county commissioner. If re-elected, I pledge to continue being a strong advocate for responsible county government that addresses the issues of importance to my constituents. I would appreciate your vote this year.
