Household Hazardous Waste Collection Aug. 4
Gather up your household hazardous waste. It's time.

The next collection for household hazardous wastes will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Nashua at the Public Works Garage, near the Police Station, from 8 a.m. to noon.
Nashua residents are welcome to participate in this event, as are residents of the 10 other towns in the region - Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Pelham and Windham. There is a 10-gallon or 20 pound limit per household, and a charge of $10 per household to help cover costs.
Acceptable wastes include oil-based paints, varnish, wood preservatives, thinners, pesticides, pool chemicals, antifreeze, oil-based paints, lithium and button batteries, and coal tar driveway sealers. No latex paint, used oil or smoke detectors, will be accepted.

Nashua residents may bring mercury thermometers and thermostats, fluorescent bulbs and rechargeable batteries from your home directly to the Solid Waste Department office on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
