Kuster Commends Students for Holiday Cards for Heroes
The cards will go to veterans at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton to thank them for their service.

U.S. Rep. Ann McLane Kuster (NH-02) today announced her second annual “Holiday Cards for Heroes” Drive during visits to Charlotte Avenue School in Nashua and Beaver Meadow School in Concord.
During the visits, she met with elementary school students who are participating in this year’s drive and talked to them about the men and women who serve in the military to protect our country.
“It is such an inspiration to see our students help bring holiday cheer to those at the New Hampshire Veterans Home who courageously served our country,” said Kuster. “Our veterans often gave up the opportunity to spend the holidays at home with their families so that the rest of us could. That’s why it’s so wonderful that these children understand how important it is to thank and honor the men and women who fought to preserve our freedom, and I was thrilled to meet with students this morning and help them prepare their cards.”

The students will make holiday cards over the next week to thank New Hampshire veterans for their brave service. Kuster, a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and a strong advocate for veterans’ rights, will personally deliver the cards to Granite State veterans at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton later this month.
