LETTER: Jane Pollio Announces Candidacy

Hello Amherst Voters, My name is Jane Pollio. I am running for the open seat for the Souhegan Cooperative School Board.

I am running because I believe I could provide a fresh and creative perspective to the Board. I would provide common-sense solutions with a focus on education, community outreach and fiscal responsibility.I have children attending the school which gives me first hand insight to the successes, challenges and issues that are going on. 

I feel it is my civic duty to be involved in the community. My goal is to help protect and improve the resources and opportunities our students have, especially in these difficult economic times. Upholding and supporting the philosophy of the school, evaluating what is working and asking the tough questions needed to address what may need improvement, will be how I apply myself on the Board. 

I am looking forward to the future of representing the best interest and needs of Souhegan high school, and helping to implement policies that will create success for all students, while protecting taxpayers.
