Localized Flooding Possible Later Today

The NWS issues hazardous weather outlook alert for New Hampshire due to slow moving thunderstorms that will hit the region.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Aug. 21, 2015, through today and tonight.

Local, heavy rain is possible, according to the alert, this afternoon, due to slow moving showers and thunderstorms that are expected to hit Merrimack, Hillsborough, and Rockingham counties. The showers are moving northeasterly across the region, according to the NWS.

“This will bring the potential for localized urban and small stream flooding,” the alert stated.
