LOG: Crash on Red Gate Lane in Amherst Leads to Arrest

Plus, Groton, MA, man faces drug charges.

Incidents

  • 11:43 a.m. on Aug. 23: There were no injuries at a two-car accident in the parking lot of Walmart.
  • 7:13 p.m. on Aug. 23: Police were sent to a two-car crash in the Walmart parking lot. There were no injuries.
  • 5:59 p.m. on Aug. 24: Officers were called to an accident, without injury, on Pettigale Road.
  • 4:14 p.m. on Aug. 25: An elderly Bedford man was involved in a crash with a parked vehicle on Route 101A.

Arrests

Geoffrey Osborne, 26, of Amherst, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. on Aug. 22, on a driving while under the influence of liquor after an accident on Red Gate Lane. He was arraigned on Aug. 28.

Eric Nelson, 20, of Merrimack, was arrested at 4 p.m. on Aug. 23, and charged with driving after suspension and suspended registrations. He’s due in court on Oct. 2.

Gregory Konopka, 26, of Amherst, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 23, on a violation of a protective order charge. He was arraigned on Aug. 25.

Brian Perkins Jr., 32, of Groton, MA, was arrested at 11:55 a.m. on Aug. 24, and charged with transportation of a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug. He’s due in court on Oct. 2.

James Peringer, 48, of Merrimack, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 27, on a driving while under the influence of liquor charge. He is due in court on Sept. 10.
