McEntee Honored by American Ambulance Association for Career Contributions to Emergency Medical Services

Regional CEO called "a leader that looks towards innovation, collaboration and relationships to improve the EMS systems."

American Medical Response (AMR) announced last week that Thomas McEntee, AMR’s CEO East Region, will receive the Robert L. Forbus Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Ambulance Association (AAA), given to individuals whose lifetime body of work has enhanced the programs and services of the AAA and its members.

McEntee has served on the AAA Board of Directors, Education Committee, Membership Committee, Government Affairs Committee and as Co-Chair of Stars of Life. Stars of Life would not be the nationally recognized program that it is today without McEntee’s leadership. The Stars of Life event in Washington, D.C. publicly recognizes and celebrates the achievements of AAA members from personal triumphs to exceptional work in the field.

Ted Van Horne, president of AMR, said the AAA award is a fitting recognition of McEntee’s profile in the EMS industry.
