Merrimack Outlets Prepare for Grand Opening

Just 10 days from the grand opening of the Merrimack Premium Outlets, the upscale shopping center announced Monday a schedule of special events that and in store promotions, all set to kick off with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 14.

The new 430,000 square-foot upscale outlet center will be home to 100 outlet stores offering savings of 25 to 65 percent off of regular retail prices every day. The four-day celebration will feature live entertainment by local musicians, in-store promotions, giveaways and more, including a $5,000 shopping spree grand prize.

The Outlets will also be open for extended shopping hours throughout the weekend, Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Regular hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Thursday, June 14

• 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Cover Story, classic rock band
• 2-5 p.m.: Marc Apostolides, classic acoustic rock band

Friday, June 15

• Noon-3 p.m.: Matriarch, classic rock band
• 2-4 p.m.: Mark and Karen from The Morning Waking Crew: WOKQ-FM (97.5)*
• 4-6 p.m.: Illusion, live acoustic entertainment

Saturday, June 16

• Noon-2 p.m.: Mighty Groove, music of the 60s through 80s
• Noon-2 p.m.: Suzanne Roantree,WZID-FM (95.7)*
• 3-6 p.m. Downtown Dave and the Deep Pockets, live blues entertainment

Sunday, June 17

• 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Theriault & Stefanelli, classic acoustic rock band
• 3-6 p.m. Lachlan Maclearn, live acoustic entertainment

Last week, Bloomingdale’s, The Outlet Store, one of the shopping center's anchor stores announced its own grand opening celebration details. The store is offering shoppers $25 off any purchase of $50 or more when they share their email address from June 14-17. This also registers those shoppers to win a $500 spree at Bloomingdale’s, The Outlet Store at Merrimack Premium Outlets (one winner will be chosen each day). The 25,000 square-foot store offers an upscale range of apparel and accessories, including women’s ready-to-wear, men’s, children’s, women’s shoes, fashion accessories, jewelry, handbags and intimate apparel.  Doors will open at Bloomingdales at 10 a.m. on Thursday with light breakfast refreshments and a DJ will play all day.
