UPDATE: Convicted Cocaine Dealer in Custody

NH DOC: Khyree Rasheed Thompson, a minimum-security inmate, in at the state prison after allegedly not returning to his housing unit.

MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announced at around 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 30, 2016, that a minimum security inmate is missing from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester.

Khyree Rasheed Thompson, 25, of Boston, MA, signed out of the facility to go to work at 6:40 a.m. this morning. He did not return at his scheduled time of 1 p.m. He was placed on escape status shortly before 3 p.m., according to Jeffrey Lyons, the public information officer for the NH Department of Corrections.

Thompson is a black male, 5-feet, 6-inches tall, and weighs around 260 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes. He was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court North for two concurrent 3- to 6-year prison sentences for sale, possession, and manufacturing of cocaine. He received 113 days of time served credited to his sentence. Thompson was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on July 3, 2013 and was eligible for parole on March 10, 2016 with a maximum release date of March 10, 2019.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.

A walkaway from a Community Corrections transitional housing unit is can result in an escape charge, which is a Class B felony punishable by 3.5- to 7-years in prison, according to Lyons.

At around 6:30 p.m. tonight, Thompson turned himself in at the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester at approximately 6:30,pm. He was transported to the NH State Prison in Concord,
