Opportunity Networks announces the $1,000 Grand Prize Winner of its 19th Annual Bassathon

Opportunity Networks is pleased to announce the $1,000 Grand Prize Winner, of its 19th Annual Bassathon. Taking in the top honors of the day was Fred Mackey, whose largemouth bass weighed in at 4 pounds,15 ounces! The 19th Annual Catch and Release Bassathon Fishing Tournament fundraiser was held at the Lone Pine Hunter’s Club in Hollis on Saturday, September 21st, and raised much-needed funds for the 501 (c)3 non profit.

Opportunity Networks serves adults with disabilities such as Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, and other developmental disabilities.  An integral part of the community, they take great pride in working with adults and high school transition students with all levels of developmental disabilities.  They offer Day Programming and Supported Employment Services to create meaningful lives for these individuals.

Opportunity Networks  greatly appreciated all the fishermen and volunteers that made the day so successful, and would especially like to thank  their  event sponsors and donors:  The Lone Pine Hunter’s Club, Sucker Punch Baits, O’Doul’s and Bellavance Beverage,  Hannafords, Dick’s Sporting Goods, AW Emboss, Pete’s Gun and Tackle, Granite State Rod and Reel Repair, Sports Authority,  Canobie Lake Park, Big Game and Custom Taxidermy and Restoration, The Meat House, Beaver Brook Association, Leda Lanes,  and Lisa and Brian Lambert.

Other upcoming fundraisers for Opportunity Networks include: their 20th Annual $10K Raffle Extravaganza to be held on December  6th  at the River Card Room in Milford;  as well as their 3rd Annual Chili Chowder Cookoff in January 2014, and their 24th Annual Souhegan Valley Golf Classic  which will again be held at the Amherst Country Club in June 2014.
