Outages Cause Some Store Closures

Amherst Patch has received multiple reports of traffic lights out in the area, and the power outages this morning have resulted in some stores being forced to close.

Traffic lights were out on Route 101A, at least from the Staples/Longhorn Steakhouse plaza to the 122 intersection. Walmart was one of those businesses without power.

Public Service of New Hampshire reports, as of 11:10 a.m., there are 243 customers without power in Amherst, 240 customers without power in Merrimack, and 4,719 customers without power in Nashua.

Authorities urge motorists to drive with care.
