Pedestrian Killed in Lyndeborough

New Hampshire State Police are asking for the public's help with its investigation.

LYNDEBOROUGH, NH - A woman was killed early this morning after a motor vehicle crash on Center Road in Lyndeborough, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Troopers from Troop B were called to the accident at just after 2:30 a.m. on July 15, 2016.

Upon arrival, according to Trooper Michael Pelletier, the investigation revealed a blue 2013 Dodge Ram operated by a female from Lyndeborough, was traveling northbound on Center Road. At the same time, a woman, later identified as Debess Rogers, was walking northbound on Center Road off of the southbound side.

"For unknown reasons at this time the blue 2013 Dodge Ram drifted into the southbound lane striking Debess Rogers near the shoulder of the roadway," he noted. "As a result of this collision Debess Rogers suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene while the female operator of the Dodge Ram did not suffer any injuries."

Assisting on scene were members of the Lyndeborough Police Department, NH State Police Troop B Barracks, Lyndeborough Fire & Rescue, EMS Crews, and NH DOT.

At this time the crash investigation is being handled by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (C.A.R. Unit) with assistance from the Lyndeborough Police Department.
