POLICE & FIRE LOG: Stop Sign Violation Leads To DWI Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Amherst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

[Monday, Jan. 9]

At 2:45 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Jason R. Bailey, 28, of 41 Arlington Street #C, Nashua, NH on charges of Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor, Driving After Suspension and a Stop Sign Violation. Bailey was released on $1200 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Jan. 19, 2012 in the Milford District Court.

At 9:55 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Lauren Peters, 40, of 11 Mountain View Drive, Merrimack, NH on a charge of Willful Concealment. Peters was released on $600 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Jan. 19, 2012 in the Milford District Court.

[Tuesday, Jan. 10]

At 12:42 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Julie Cook-Murtagh, 39, of 6 1/2 Hall Avenue, Nashua, NH on a charge of Shoplifting. Cook-Murtagh was released on $300 PR bail, with an arraignment date set for Jan. 26, 2012 in the Milford District Court.

At 5:18 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a 2 car accident in the Meadowbrook Crossing parking lot. No injuries were reported. The drivers were Paula Mahoney Keefe, 60, of Wilton and Caitlyn Murphy, 19, of Milford.

At 6:50 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a 2 car accident on Route 101A. No injuries were reported. The drivers were Shauna Ronan, 16, of Milford and Christopher Reap, 42, of Amherst.

[Wednesday, Jan. 11]

At 7:55 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a 3 car accident on Route 101. No injuries were reported. The drivers were William Keefe, 57, of Wilton, Jorge Vellon Melendez, 56, of Lawrence, MA and Paul Simoneau, 42, of Amherst.

At 7:55 a.m., the Amherst Fire Department responded to Route 101 for a reported motor vehicle accident with injury.

At 7:46 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a 2 car accident on Route 101A at the entrance to Walmart. No injuries were reported. The drivers were Victoria Glavin, 17, of Amherst and Kevin Wheeler, 25, of Milford.
