POLICE LOG: Amherst Man Charged With Simple Assault

[Friday, June 8]

At 11:35 a.m., the Amherst Police Department detailed a juvenile on a charge of Shoplifting.  Court action is anticipated.

At 11:35 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Marion Lee Smith, 36, of 6 Cross Street #3, Nashua on a charge of shoplifting.  Smith was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for July 12, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 7:50 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Naomi Noiseux, 17, of 63 Wilson Hill Road, Merrimack on a charge of willful concealment. Noiseux was released on $200 recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for June 28, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Saturday, June 9]

At 9:15 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Nicholas W. Arthur, 19, of 24 Connolly Drive, Groton, MA on a charge of Transportation of a controlled drug.  Arthur was released on $1,500 recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for June 28, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Sunday, June 10]

At 2:10 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested David Matthews, 27, of 22 Church Road, Bedford on an electronic bench warrant issued by the Merrimack District Court. Matthews was released on $1,200 recognizance bail, with a court date set for June 12, 2012 at the Merrimack District Court.

At 5:45 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Elisha Adair, 35, of 16 Grove Street #2, Milford on a charge of Shoplifting.  Adair was released on $500 recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for June 28, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 10 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested William Robert Morgan, 43, of 5 Juniper Drive #B, Amherst on a charge of simple assault. Morgan was released on $2,500 recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for June 28, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 12:30 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a 2 car accident on Boston Post Road @ Main Street.  No injuries were reported. The drivers were Ethan Miller, 24, of Mont Vernon and Warren Medeiros, 42, of New Boston.
