POLL RESULTS: Majority Do Not Support Tea Party in Politics

A majority of those who participated in said that the Tea Party has not played a positive role in American politics.

As of today at 4:30 p.m. today, 55 percent of those who voted do not believe the Tea Party has played a good part in politics. A total of 44 percent said they believe the political party has played a positive part in modern politics.

Amherst Patch had 2583 people vote in today’s poll, which comes right before tonight’s "Tea Party Republican Debate" in Tampa, Florida at 8 p.m. tonight.

The debate will be hosted by CNN and include Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.

The Tea Party Express is a co-sponsor of tonight’s political debate.
