POLL RESULTS: Slight Majority Disapprove of Obama's Jobs Plan

59 percent of those who participated do not believe the president's plan will bring in more jobs.

Amherst Patch visitors were divided about the effectiveness of President Barack Obama's proposed American Jobs Act that was presented Thursday night.

A total of 27 people participated in a we presented this morning, and so far it is hard to tell where our visitors stand on the president's plan.

40 percent of voters believe that his plan will create more jobs if passed, but 59 percent disagreed that it will improve the job market in our country.

It remains to be seen how President Obama's proposal will fare with lawmakers in Washington, but the fact that it has bipartisan appeal could help its chances.
