Romney Takes Amherst in Primary

Mitt Romney received the majority of the vote, with Jon Huntsman placing in second.

Mitt Romney snagged the Amherst vote in the New Hampshire Presidential Primary yesterday.

He is now off to South Carolina after in the state's First-in-the-nation primary.

Romney received 1,551 votes in Amherst, followed by Jon Huntsman at 670 votes and Ron Paul at 548 votes.

On the democratic ticket it is interesting to note that while Barack Obama came in an obvious first, joke candidate Vermin Supreme actually received 14 votes. This puts him in second place and above actually serious democratic candidates.

Write-ins included Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin.
