Romney Hopes For Sweet Victory In NH

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney had some bitter words for Obama at his ice cream social in Milford on Friday.

Not even the ice cream could cool down the heated speech Mitt Romney made on the Milford Oval this afternoon.

His campaign hosted an ice cream social on the oval, where state Republican candidates met with voters and even scooped them some dessert before Romney's arrival. Candidates including Kevin Smith, Ovide Lamontagne and Charlie Bass were all in attendance.

Former presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty had a short introduction for Romney, followed by Ann Romney.

“If Mitt Romney wins, America wins,” she said. “If Mitt Romney loses, America loses.”

Romney focused his speech on the economy and had plenty of jabs on Barack Obama's recent speech on the topic.

The presidential hopeful told the crowd that Obama has broken his promise that he would turn the economy around, adding that he is not giving people a “fair shot to succeed.”

He said that Obama's policies have been hurting small businesses and that the private sector is not “doing fine.”

Romney said he would take advantage of energy resources, get rid of Obamacare and stop the deficit “year after year after year and get America on track to a balanced budget.”

The common was packed with supporters, but protesters also made an appearance on the sidelines. One drove a car with a stuffed dog tied on top, in reference to the candidate transporting the family dog Seamus on a trip years ago.

An airplane even flew over the event with a sign that said “Romney's Every Millionaire Counts Tour.”
