Clay Buchholz Trade: Red Sox Deal Former All-Star Pitcher

The longest-tenured pitcher on the team will now be in Philadelphia.

The Boston Red Sox have traded former All-Star pitcher Clay Buchholz to the Philadelphia Phillies, according to multiple sources.

Boston is reportedly getting 24-year-old infield prospect Josh Tobias in the deal.

Buchholz, 32, was part of two World Series championship teams, in 2007 and 2013, and made All-Star teams in 2010 and 2013. His trade and David Ortiz's retirement leaves Dustin Pedroia as the last remaining player from the 2007 championship team.

Boston recently acquired Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale to lead a rotation that also has former Cy Young Award winner David Price and reigning Cy Young winner Rick Porcello.
