Schedule a Free Child Check

Child check screenings will be conducted Friday, Oct. 28 to ensure early intervention for any child development issues.

Amherst and Mont Vernon residents can have their children screened for possible developmental problems for free this Friday.

Parents can schedule a free child check screening that will determine if early intervention is needed for their child. The checks are for children from ages 2.5 to 5 years.

Early intervention increases the developmental and educational gains for a child, according to information provided by the SAU #39 school district. Even though children grow and learn at different rates, it is a good idea to check if they are not developing skills at age appropriate times.
