Department Budget Reviews Continue

Tonight's Board of Selectmen meeting will continue with reviews of town departments as they prepare to craft budgets for the next fiscal year.

The departments on the table tonight are Recreation, Tax Collector, Town Clerk, Finance, Planning & Zoning and Library.

Last week we covered the state of other town departments, including Amherst , , and as they move to form their own budgets.

While all areas of town government have been affected by the downturn in the economy, some have been hit harder than others. Crime is up in the town for police and the DPW is strapped for cash.
