Should NH Ban Future Income Taxes?
An amendment to the state's Constitution would prevent any future tax on personal income.

Our motto is Live Free or Die, and many New Hampshire residents would choose the latter before accepting any new taxes.
The New Hampshire House of Representatives will vote on a constitutional amendment that would prevent any new taxes on personal income on Wednesday,according to a report from WMUR.
Our state is one of the nine states that does not tax personal income, but joins Alaska as the only states that don't tax personal or income transactions.

WMUR reports that supporters say the amendment wouldn't affect existing taxes and would protect the income of New Hampshire residents. Opponents says that the legislation would have negative effects as economic conditions change.
