Souhegan Crew Racing at the Water Works Regatta

The Baboosic Lake Rowing Club is pleased to announce that the youth program (rowing under the name Souhegan Crew) will compete at its first ever rowing event - The Water Works Challenge at Massabesic Park, in Manchester on Saturday, September 28th. The two boats from the Souhegan Crew (boys 8+ and girls 8+) will be competing against other high schools from NH and MA in the novice category. While racing begins at 8:30 AM, the Souhegan Crew will be racing at 11:00 AM and 11:15 AM for the boys and girls respectively.

"Our kids have really adopted the sport of rowing and the required work ethic to get prepared for this race," said the boy's head coach Tim Cotreau. "The excitement level and the commitment to this amazing team sport has really brought the boys and girls teams together" said the girl's head coach Chandler Wallisch, "and we could not be more pleased with how the community has embraced the sport and has laid the foundation for many more rowers to come."

So, grab a lawn chair, sunglasses and a noise maker and make your way down to Massabesic Park in Manchester to root on the Souhegan Crew in their first ever rowing event.  If you cannot make it this weekend, the Souhegan Crew and BLRC Masters Program will be racing at the Textile River Regatta in Lowell, MA on 10/6 and the NH Championships Regatta in Pembroke, NH on 10/13.
