Souhegan Defeats Bedford In Seesaw Affair
The Sabers varsity baseball team makes a comeback on Monday after two shutout losses.

The Souhegan Sabers traveled to play at Bedford, and on the blustery day, came home with a 10 to 6 victory over the Bulldogs.
Eric Howard was the Souhegan starting pitcher and picked up the victory. He pitched 5 strong innings, allowed 6 hits, struck out 7, walked one while allowing no earned runs. Ben Osterholtz pitched two scoreless innings, allowed a pair of hits and a pair of walks to pick up the save in relief.

The defense was led by the outfield play of Tyler Hansis who throw out a would be Bedford run in the bottom of the sixth ... with a runner on second, Bedford hit a single to left and Tyler Hansis threw a strike from left field to Cameron Crook and the Bedford runner was tagged out in a rundown.
Souhegan offense registered 12 hits led by multiple hits from Chris Chininis ( a single, triple, 2 runs scored and an rbi), Tyler Ford (a single, two triples, 2 runs scored and an rbi) and Cameron Crook (a single, double and run scored). Eight different players had a hit, seven players scored a run and eight different players had an rbi in the Sabers offensive attack.
