Souhegan Defeats Oyster River

The Souhegan Baseball team defeated the Oyster River Bobcats of Durham 7 to 1. The win evens the Souhegan record at 7 wins and 7 losses.

Robby McCormick was the complete game pitcher for the Sabers. Robby scattered four hits, allowed no earned runs, struck out eight and walked one to earn the victory.

The Souhegan defense receive excellent performances from shortstop Ben Osterholtz and third baseman Robert Graham.

Souhegan opened the scoring in the second inning. With one out, Tyler Hansis doubled to left field and scored on an RBI single from Tim Beliveau and was followed by a Cameron Crook single and a Chris Chininis RBI single. Chris Chininis and Tyrell Torres teamed up on a first and third. Eric Howard walked and he teamed with Chris Chininis on a second first and third double steal to make the score 4 to 0 Souhegan.

In the fifth inning, Chris Chininis singled, stole second and scored on a single from Eric Howard. Robert Graham walked and Seth Learned loaded the bases on an error. Robby McCormick drove in two runs on a single and Souhegan led 7 to 1.
