Souhegan Drops Contest To Con-Val
The teams were tied until the Con-Val Cougars scored two runs in the bottom of the 7th.

The Souhegan baseball team traveled to play in Peterborough against the Con-Val Cougars. The seven inning contest was full of excitement, but the Sabers came away with a hard fought 4 to 3 loss.
Tyler Hansis pitched a strong seven innings, scattering five hits, striking out 8 and walking 4.

The Sabers defense was led by shortstop Tyler Ford and thirdbaseman Robert Graham.
Souhegan opened the scoring in the first inning as Robert Graham singled, and after two wild pitches, scored on a Robby McCormick rbi single.

Souhegan took a 2-1 in the top of the fifth as Robert Graham singled and with two outs scored on a Tyler Ford rbi single.
In the sixth inning, Eric Howard singled, went to third on a Chris Chininis sacrifice bunt and scored on an rbi double off the bat of Robert Graham to go up 3 to 2.
Robert Graham was 3 for 4 and an rbi and Seth Learned was 2 for 4.
In the bottom of the seventh, Con-Val rallied ... with one out a base on balls and a hit by pitch put runners on first and second ... a wild pitch put runners on second and third and the Cougars defeated the Sabers 4-3 when a single won the game for the hosts.
