Sabers are now 6-6 this season.

By William Dod

The Souhegan Baseball team hosted the Portsmouth Clippers and the Clippers went home with a hard fought victory.

Tyler Hansis started in the hill for the Sabers and he pitcher strongly into the sixth inning.  With a couple of plays, the game could have gone into the seventh inning 0 - 0. Tyler Hansis competed with the Clippers from the first pitch.  He struck out one and allowed two base on balls.

The Saber defense was led by Chris Chininis - who threw a runner out from center field as the Clipper was attempting to score from second base and Chris Chininis threw a strike to catcher Cameron Crook who tagged the runner out at the plate to end the fifth inning.

Shortstop Tyler Ford and thirdbaseman Robert Graham also played well in the field. The Souhegan bats were limited to a pair of hits ... both of the Saber hits came off the bat of Seth Learned. The Souhegan record stands at 6 wins and 6 losses with six games left in the regular season.
