Surplus Funds Cover Souhegan Budget Gap
The Souhegan Cooperative School Board took action Thursday.

The Souhegan Cooperative School Board moved unanimously Thursday night to use a surplus this year to cover much of the difference between the proposed budget for next year, which was voted down in March, and the forthcoming 2013 default budget, the Nashua Telegraph reports.
The default budget of is roughly the same operating budget for the prior year, adjusted up and down for scheduled loan payments, contractual agreements and other obligations.
Fiscal Year 2013 begins July 1 of this calendar year.
