Speak UP - 911 Assailant of Amherst EMT's due in Court Again, Denial of 14th Amendment rights, DT4EMS takes up the Cause for EMS Victims

When Victims are denied their 14th amendment rights : equal and fair representation  under the law, who  defend their rights?   Who is responsible for ensuring Victims are represented?   Why does the assailant have all the rights ? Why is the excuse for a violent attacker mental illness when clearly many months later the victims are still under going surgeries and treatment.  Why does our legal system not provide Justice?  The culture that EMS is expendable or "not allowed"  to defend themselves against violent people must change.  A patient can become an "attacker" instantly changing the nature of the scene.  This is where DTEMS comes in.

In the case of the 2 Amherst 911 EMT"s, 43 months later, 14 surgeries later with more to come, Workman's Compensation denying payments for medical treatment, the assailant is arrested yet once again by Amherst PD.
Ten (10) months post release from probation.  Where is the Justice for these two 911 responders?

Kip Tietsort of DT4EMS explains the predicament and injustice facing our nation, please follow this link to an interview with Speak Up regarding this growing violence against EMS providers:
