Spring-Like Weather About to End in NH

Forecasters: A stormy mix of snow, freezing rain is heading to the Granite State.

Sorry everyone – winter is not quite over yet, despite the spring-like temperatures around the state recently.

Temps are expected to drop down to normal winter readings tonight and into Monday as another potential potent storm, according to AccuWeather.com, heads to New Hampshire.

The storm is expected to bring a mix of snow and rain to communities in the middle of the state and freezing rain and rain to the southern and coastal regions. Forecasters, like AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams, also believe that the storm will bring strong winds and a wide variety of weather conditions.

Here’s the latest weather forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Cloudy skies with highs in the 20s and a light breeze.

Monday: Sunny skies with highs in the 30s and wind out of the northwest at 5 to 10 mph. During the evening, it’s expected to be clear and cold, with temperatures in the single digits.

Tuesday: Sunny again with highs in the 30s and a light breeze during the afternoon. The clouds begin to roll in during the evening with lows in the 20s.

Wednesday: A chance of snow beginning around midday and then a mix of rain, snow, and freezing rain. It might be slightly warmer on the Seacoast. The mix is expected to continue into the evening.

Thursday: Rain expected with temperatures in the mid-40s with a chance of rain and snow showers during the evening.
