Thousands Without Power In Amherst, Bedford, Merrimack, Milford

AMHERST, NH — Thousands of Eversource customers are without power this afternoon, according to online alerts. The bulk of the outages – more than 3,600 – are in Amherst, about 65 percent of the community. More than 700 customers are out in Mont Vernon while 400 are without power in Merrimack.

Smaller outages are being reported in Bedford, Milford, and New Boston.

In Bedford, according to alerts online, the outages are causing some traffic light issues on Route 101.

The cause of the outage is unknown at post time.

At just before 4 p.m., power was restored to all but two customers in Bedford.
