Work off those extra Thanksgiving calories at the upcoming Trot Off Your Turkey 5K and one-mile fun run and get some swag for your effort!
The 14th annual event is scheduled for November 29th. The race is sponsored by the Amherst Junior Women’s Club and features a professionally organized course with chip timing by Millennium Running. Walkers are welcome.
The race starts and ends at the beautiful Village Green in Amherst, and the flat course spans country roads around the historic center of town.

Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each category.
New this year is the addition of a “virtual race” option, where athletes sign up and pay $25 to run at their leisure on a day of their choosing. People who choose not to run can simply register for the virtual run and donate money to the cause. TOYT medals will be mailed to all virtual runners.

Race day registration on November 29th runs from 8am to 9am. The 5K starts at 10am and costs $25. The one-mile fun run costs $10 and starts at 9:30am.
