VIDEO: Ron Paul Says Anybody Can Be Called A Terrorist
The presidential candidate spoke against legalizing martial law against U.S. citizens during a stop in Amherst today.
Ron Paul said that American civil liberties have been put in danger during the "War on Terror."
He spoke against what he sees as extreme measures against terrorism in a speech to voters at Joey's Diner in Amherst this morning.
The Republican candidate cited a recent example from the latest National Defense Authorization Act, which he said has wording that lets the government imprison American citizens indefinitely without trial if they are suspected of terrorism.

Paul said that this act institutionalizes martial law, which combined with a broader definition of terrorism, will endanger the freedoms of American citizens.
He also claimed that, despite his views on ending the "war" on terrorism and foreign conflicts, many members of the military support him.

According to Paul, his campaign gets twice as much money from active military members than all of the other candidates put together.
The Texas politician also called for America to pull out of international organizations such as NATO and the U.N.
