Description: Segway Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide full product lifecycle support of embedded systems for its line of Segway Personal Transporters and other products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 3-5 years related industrial or commercial electrical engineering experience designing embedded control systems or subsystems for motion control or robotic platforms. Knowledge of in C/C++ software development for embedded microcontrollers. Proficient in hands on use of schematics tools like DxDesigner, and simulation tools like PSpice, layout tools like Pads, Matlab, and MathCAD. Detailed understanding of analog filter design. Design and operation of analog circuits for sensor signal conditioning with emphasis on measurement precision, accuracy, and noise immunity. Knowledge of analog-to-digital converter operation and performance limitations. Detailed understanding of oscilloscope and other test equipment capabilities and limitations. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with suppliers and associates at all levels throughout the Company.
