Waves of Snow Squalls Heading to NH

NWS: A large storm with high winds is heading into the Granite State tonight through Monday morning. Bitter cold temps, wind chills follow.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook this morning warning of β€œa large storm” that will pass through the region on Sunday night and end sometime on Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.

The storm is only expected to bring small snow accumulations – one to three inches in most areas, up to four when all is said and done for most New Hampshire Patch communities – but the squalls will come in waves and flash in different parts of the state. At the same time, an inverted trough will be situated in Maine and New Hampshire, causing problems on the Seacoast, including high winds.

The NWS station in Gray, ME, put together this simulated radar for this evening and posted it on Facebook this morning.
